ActivitiesThe pursuit of the NBI Lab is the combination of MR Imaging, theoretical modeling and transgenic technology to elucidate the neurophysiological basis of functional connectivity and its derangements in neurological and psychiatric disease. The final goal is to develop a translational platform to map and characterize the architecture of functional connectivity, to identify its neurochemical determinants, and to establish causal relations between specific connectivity pathways and behavior in health and disease. To this end we apply advanced MR Imaging methods and novel imaging agents, in combination with stimulation protocols, to probe brain activity and connectivity. The NeuroBioImaging Lab has full access to the facilities of the Molecular Imaging Center, including a multinuclear 7T Bruker MR scanner, microPET, NMR relaxometry equipment, optical imaging.
